  • «AN EYE FOR AN EYE 2»: Ukrainian OKKO network delivers 300 mortars to the army

    Опубликовано: 2024-03-14 09:30:31

The OKKO network and the Come Back Alive Foundation have successfully completed the transfer of a full batch of mortars to the army, which was purchased as part of the initiative "Eye for an Eye 2. Arming the ATO to the teeth". Thus, the Ukrainian defense forces have received 300 82 mm mortars to reinforce them. This was reported by the OKKO press service.

Last year, as part of this initiative, territorial defense units already received a full batch of 12.7 mm machine guns and 50 40 mm automatic grenade launchers. The "Eye for an Eye 2" project continues with 50 more grenade launchers to be shipped. The weapons are expected to arrive from the manufacturer soon.

"We are grateful to every Ukrainian driver who refueled PULLS of revenge at OKKO and thus contributed to the supply of machine guns, mortars and grenade launchers to the military. For the second year in a row, we have been transferring funds from each liter of our branded fuel sold to the Come Back Alive Foundation. During Eye for Eye 2, we managed to accumulate 400 million hryvnias - this is the incredible amount your fueling and donations turn into. While we are completing the transfer of weapons within the second phase of the project, we have launched EYE FOR EYE 3. This time the goal is even more ambitious - half a billion hryvnias to provide 10 units of the Air Assault Forces with enemy detection and destruction systems - Pulstron. We believe that together - responsible business and caring Ukrainians - we will be able to quickly achieve this goal," said Vasyl Dmytriv, OKKO's Vice President of Marketing.

"82-mm mortars are the main weapon at the company and sometimes battalion level. With them, our fighters can suppress the enemy at a distance of up to four kilometers in the offensive and defense. And the 300 new mortars delivered to the troops is a significant amount for the frontline," added Oleh Karpenko, Deputy Director of the "Come Back Alive" Foundation.

It should be noted that since the beginning of the full-scale war, OKKO network has already transferred UAH 1.5 billion to support the Armed Forces and humanitarian needs. Providing the defenders of Ukraine with weapons and equipment is a focus area for the company, so most of the funds are allocated for this purpose. OKKO is among the top 10 Ukrainian businesses that help the Armed Forces and the state the most during a full-scale war, and among fuel retailers, the network is the absolute leader in this indicator.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, OKKO network has donated 8 truck tractors, 7 fuel tanker semi-trailers and 2 air tanker semi-trailers to the Armed Forces, which helped to establish the logistics of supplying petroleum products to the defenders.
