It is worth noting that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba emphasized that the country does not currently have the necessary infrastructure to operate F-16 aircraft. However, according to optimistic forecasts, deliveries of the aircraft may begin in the first half of 2024, after pilot training is completed and the airports are ready.

Ukraine is already actively negotiating with various countries that are ready to provide it with F-16 fighters. In particular, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, confirmed his country's intention to transfer a batch of 18 F-16s to Ukraine, which is part of a total package of 42 aircraft. Denmark also plans to deliver the first batch of six aircraft in the second quarter of 2024.

The creation of a special structure at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is one of the key steps in ensuring the successful integration of F-16 fighters into the country's military system. This structure aims to organize comprehensive support for the operation and management of the new aircraft.
