Cyberattack on the occupiers' drone control program: Successful operation of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reports a successful cyberattack on the drone control program used by the Russian occupants. This was the result of another operation of Ukrainian cyber specialists in response to threats to the country's security.

According to the press service of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, the Russian occupiers use DJI drone control software to conduct reconnaissance and combat operations in the occupied territories.

This software, according to military intelligence, allows the occupiers to customize control panels, capture video and transmit information to the command post, as well as control drones via computer, bypassing the remote control.

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine notes that as a result of the cyberattack, the servers that serve the occupiers' drone control program stopped working. Therefore, all software is recognized as "foreign" and the Russian occupiers have lost access to the system.

Representatives of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine emphasize that without access to the servers, it becomes impossible for the occupiers to control the drones from the remote controls. In this regard, the enemy is trying to solve the problem, including switching to manual control mode.

This successful operation of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine is another step in protecting the country from threats from the Russian occupiers. It confirms the importance of cybersecurity as a component of national security and Ukraine's readiness to any modern challenges and threats.
