Lithuania continues to provide important military assistance to Ukraine: Details and perspectives

On February 2, Lithuania sent a new batch of military aid to Ukraine, which includes detonation systems and ammunition for anti-tank grenade launchers. This information was made public by the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.

Although the total amount and value of the aid was not announced, the Lithuanian government emphasized its unwavering support for Ukraine in terms of military security. In particular, the transfer of detonation systems and thousands of rounds of ammunition is considered to be just one of the significant actions aimed at strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities.

Previously, in January, Lithuania approved a long-term military assistance package for Ukraine worth €200 million. The transfer of M577 armored personnel carriers is planned for February. In addition, previous transfers have included power generators, dry rations, and ammunition and remote detonation systems.

Lithuania is also focusing on training Ukrainian soldiers and developing cooperation in the defense industry. This will help not only in training, but also in establishing mutually beneficial relations between the defense structures of the two countries.

Representatives of Lithuania are convinced that further provision of modern air defense systems to Ukraine is extremely important. Last November, the transfer of NASAMS launchers to the Ukrainian army was a significant step in this direction. Much attention is also paid to the professional training of Ukrainian soldiers at courses in Norway before receiving new equipment.
