Latvia hands over 14 cars confiscated from drunk drivers to Ukraine: What is known about the new batch

The Latvian government has decided to transfer 14 more cars confiscated from drunk drivers to Ukraine. This decision was determined by the free transfer of vehicles intended for various institutions and organizations of Ukraine, including army units, medical enterprises and local councils.

According to the report, the vehicles to be transferred to Ukraine include the following models: 2011 Volvo XC60, 2016 Citroen C-Elysee, 2003 Subaru Legacy, 2005 Volkswagen Multivan, 2009 Nissan X-Trail, 2007 Volkswagen Touran, 2005 Volvo XC90, 2010 BMW X5, 2008 Volkswagen Caddy Life, 2006 Seat Altea XL, 2007 Skoda Fabia, 2008 Ford Galaxy, 2007 Volkswagen Passat, 2013 Chevrolet Captiva. It is noted that the total market value of these cars exceeds €100 thousand.

The purpose of the vehicles is diverse, covering military units of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, municipal medical enterprises, village councils and military units of the National Guard in different regions of Ukraine. This initiative allows the confiscated vehicles to be used for the needs of the public and the country's defense.

The vehicles will be delivered from Latvia to Ukraine via the so-called Twitter convoy. This solution facilitates the efficient and safe transportation of vehicles from one end to the other, using modern communication technologies to coordinate the process.
