The Government of Ukraine has decided to provide an additional UAH 1,320.2 million for grants under the eRobota program. According to the Ministry of Economy, these funds will be used to develop own businesses and create or develop processing enterprises.
The decision to allocate additional funds was made at a government meeting on December 22. Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko noted that the development of the processing industry and support for small and medium-sized businesses are key priorities for the Ukrainian economy. According to her, additional funding of more than UAH 1.3 billion for the eRobot grant program will provide financial support for about 2,300 grants for business development and 113 grants for the creation or development of processing enterprises.
Since the launch of the eRobota program, the government has allocated UAH 5.5 billion for the development of small and medium-sized businesses through grants. During this time, 10,400 Ukrainians have already received grants to start or expand their businesses.
The Ministry of Economy said that both existing entrepreneurs and those with no business experience can apply for a grant. Applications are submitted through the Diia portal along with a business plan.
The eRobota program was launched in July 2022 to support businesses and stimulate job creation. The range of grant programs includes microgrants for starting or developing a business, grants for the creation and development of processing enterprises, as well as initiatives in the areas of horticulture and viticulture, and greenhouse farming.
One of the prerequisites for receiving a grant is the creation of new jobs - from 1-2 in the case of a microgrant to several dozen in the case of grants under other programs. According to the Ministry of Economy's forecasts, the implementation of all grant programs of the eRobota project will create more than 300 thousand new jobs in Ukraine.
