Colors of electric vehicles: What Ukrainians choose and which models are leading the market

This year, the Ukrainian electric vehicle market grew by 33 thousand units. Among them, 6.6 thousand are new cars, and 26.4 thousand are imported used cars. This is reported by Ukrautoprom.

White was the most popular color among new electric vehicles, accounting for almost 44% of all sales from January to November. The second most popular color is gray - 29%, and the third is blue, which was chosen by 15% of Ukrainians. The top five favorite colors also include black (7%) and green (2%).

According to Ukravtoprom representatives, the car that emerged as the leader among new electric vehicles in white, gray, and blue colors is the VOLKSWAGEN ID.4. At the same time, MERCEDES-BENZ EQS SUV and Honda M-NV were recognized among black and green cars, respectively.

As for the used electric vehicles that were registered in Ukraine this year, the leading colors were white (32%), gray (29%), black (19%), blue (12%), and red (5%). The car most commonly seen in these colors is the NISSAN Leaf.

In November 2023, 4.3 thousand electric vehicles (BEVs) were registered in Ukraine, which is almost three times more than in November last year. VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 remains the most popular electric vehicle among new sales.

Lviv region and the city of Kyiv demonstrated the highest rates of new electric vehicle registrations.
