Expanding the range of land tax payers

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has introduced a draft law aimed at expanding the range of land tax payers, namely, the inclusion of lands of the nature reserve fund in this system. This was reported by the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.

According to the report, the text of the draft law itself is not yet available on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

It is noted that the main purpose of this draft law is to support and ensure the proper functioning of the institutions of the nature reserve fund, as well as to normalize the tax burden on these institutions.

According to the document, it is proposed to amend the Tax Code, to establish land tax rates for land plots that are part of the nature reserve fund in an amount not exceeding 0.1% of their normative monetary value.

This initiative has the potential to increase state budget revenues by expanding the land tax base to include properties that have enjoyed certain benefits in the past.

During the discussion of the draft law in the Parliament, it is expected that specific rates and conditions for the collection of taxes for the lands of the nature reserve fund will be considered. The government intends to stabilize and improve the financial support of nature reserves and help them perform their important functions in the field of nature protection and ecology.
