Women, according to a study by British scholars, are more likely to recognize family life issues and respond more emotionally to disagreements than men. However, in most cases men tend to blame women for family conflicts.

Problems in the family are often related to financial issues, differences in habits and preferences, as well as the rejection of a relative of the spouse. According to the study, about a third of Britons consider their families at risk due to disagreement.

Most family conflicts subside within a year, but in one in five cases the relatives may not talk to each other for up to three years, and in one in 10 cases the disagreement may last more than 20 years.

One third of those interviewed admitted that they had not spoken to their mothers for a long time because of disagreements. According to the study, parents have the second highest number of conflicts, and sisters have unstable relationships in the third place.

People of different ages and gender took part in the survey. The researchers believe that family tensions are partly due to the fact that women are more prone to emotional manifestations and are also more openly recognized in family problems. At the same time, women are more eager to reconcile and resolve conflicts.
