    According to him, the main recommendation in moments of stress is to avoid hasty decisions. Often, when we give in to emotions, we try to immediately solve the problem, which, as a rule, leads to the wrong actions. Especially if the situation does not require emergency measures, for example, a threat to life. In the first place, there should be calmness and the awareness that hasty steps often lead to even more stress.

    To restore mental balance and return to a normal state, one of the effective methods is a breathing exercise. This simple but powerful tool allows you not only to calm down, but also to maintain energy balance. The exercise involves alternating inhalations, holding the breath, and exhaling.

    First, it is important to relax and take a comfortable position. This will help relieve muscle tension and prepare for the breathing practice. The next step is to inhale for 5 seconds, then hold the breath, and exhale, which also lasts 5 seconds. This cycle is repeated several times. The minimum duration of the workout is 10-15 minutes, but to enhance the effect, you can increase the time to 30 minutes, dividing it into 2-3 approaches.

    This breathing exercise helps not only to calm down, but also to recharge with energy. However, after performing it, you should not immediately move on to physical exercise or other active actions that require increased reaction. But it does not affect attention and can be used in the process of mental work.

    If a person already has good physical fitness, he can increase the duration of each stage of breathing. In this case, the phases can last 15-20 seconds, which will be even more effective in relieving tension and restoring balance.
