    tangerines - 10 pcs.
    sugar - 350 g
    tangerine juice or water - 250 ml

    Start by preparing the tangerines. Peel them, then carefully remove the white films and fibers to avoid bitterness in the finished dessert. This step requires patience, but the result is worth it - the slices should be perfectly clean and smooth.

    Take a saucepan with a thick bottom that distributes heat evenly. Pour sugar into it and add a little tangerine juice so that the sugar is saturated with liquid. To prevent sugar crystals from settling on the sides of the pan, first wet them with cold water.

    Melt the sugar over medium heat, avoiding bubbles. Gradually, the sugar will begin to change color, acquiring a golden-brown hue. As soon as the caramel reaches the desired color, remove the pan from the heat.

    Finishing cooking
    Pour the remaining tangerine juice or cold boiled water into the caramel in a thin stream, stirring thoroughly. Put the pan back on low heat and cook for another 6-10 minutes, until the caramel becomes completely homogeneous.

    Glazing the tangerines
    Dip the prepared tangerine slices into the caramel one by one, trying to completely cover them with glaze. You can leave the slices on the plate, laying them out in the shape of a flower or collecting them into the shape of a whole tangerine.

    You can serve the caramel-glazed tangerines right away while they are still warm, or leave them in the refrigerator to cool. The chilled dessert becomes even more crispy and rich.
