Naftogaz increases gas purchases on the domestic market: more than 800 million cubic meters. m has already been purchased

"Naftogaz of Ukraine" group of companies continues to actively purchase gas from private producers on the domestic market. In 2024, the company has already purchased more than 800 million cubic meters of fuel, which was an important step to strengthen the country's energy independence. Oleksiy Chernyshov, chairman of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, announced this.

During a meeting with representatives of Ukrainian gas production companies, Chernyshov discussed plans for 2025 and further steps in the development of the energy market. In particular, special attention was paid to the issue of the stable passage of the heating season of 2024-2025, which is of critical importance for the country in the conditions of war.

The head of Naftogaz stressed that the increase in natural gas production is a key factor for preserving Ukraine's energy independence. It will also contribute to the economic recovery of the country in the post-war period, ensuring a stable energy supply and supporting the industrial sector.

Despite the difficult conditions associated with military operations, "Naftogaz" managed to increase gas production by 7%. Chernyshov expressed confidence that the planned indicators for the current year will be exceeded, since the year is still ongoing. However, he noted that overall success depends on the work of all enterprises that extract gas in Ukraine.

"We are ready to continue buying gas at a competitive price, which will allow us to effectively prepare for the upcoming winter periods. Cooperation with private companies is of crucial importance for ensuring a stable energy supply in the country," Chernyshov added.

He also expressed gratitude to private gas production companies for their contribution to the preparation for the heating season, stressing that thanks to joint efforts, Ukraine confidently enters the winter of 2024-2025, maintaining a stable energy supply.
