Certified private schools for training drone operators are being introduced in Ukraine

The Government of Ukraine approved the implementation plan of the experimental project, which will last for two years, with the aim of creating and certifying schools for operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was reported by the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, emphasizing the importance of this step for the training of highly qualified specialists in this field.

The project is aimed at increasing the training capabilities of drone operators, which is especially relevant for meeting the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion on the territory of Ukraine, there has been a growing demand for professionals in this field, which is caused by the active use of drones in military operations.

The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov noted that, despite the emergence of dozens of private training centers for the training of UAV pilots, there is currently no unified system for regulating their activities in Ukraine. The government has adopted a resolution that will start the certification of these educational institutions, which, in turn, will ensure the quality of education and compliance with modern standards.

"In military units, there is a demand for the profession of drone operator, so Ukraine needs educational institutions that will provide quality knowledge," Fedorov emphasized. This will allow not only to meet the needs of the army, but also create opportunities for the development of the private sector in the field of unmanned technologies.

The project envisages that certified schools will provide comprehensive training, which will include both theoretical and practical classes. As a result, students will gain the knowledge needed to effectively operate drones in a variety of environments, as well as acquire skills that will be useful in the field of security and defense.

The successful implementation of this project can become an important step in strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities, as professionally trained drone operators will be able to significantly increase the effectiveness of military operations, which is critically important in today's conditions.
