Ensuring stable communication in conditions of war: The government allows mobile operators and Internet providers to book employees

The Government of Ukraine has adopted a decision that allows mobile operators and Internet providers to reserve up to 100% of their employees from mobilization, in order to ensure reliable communication and the Internet during military operations. Changes to the relevant regulations, introduced by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, are aimed at ensuring the stable operation of the infrastructure in conditions of armed conflict.

According to information from the Ministry of Digital, the new rules allow companies to quickly respond to the needs of network maintenance and restoration. This includes maintenance of generators, replacement of batteries at grid stations and rapid restoration of communication after powerful attacks on energy infrastructure.

One of the key aspects of the new rules is the need for companies to have the status of critical enterprises and meet the requirements of the National Center for Operational and Technical Management of Electronic Communication Networks of Ukraine (NCU).

Expressing their position, representatives of the Ministry of Statistics emphasized the importance of these changes to ensure uninterrupted operation of networks and communication in conditions of military conflict. They also emphasized the joint development and coordination of these measures with partners and their approval by the government.

According to the clarified rules, mobile operators have the opportunity to book 100% of their employees, provided that they meet all the requirements and are critical for ensuring the communication infrastructure. Internet providers with different levels of monthly income can also take advantage of these rules, which allows them to effectively manage resources in conditions of instability.

These initiatives reflect the government's strategic vision of ensuring national security and strengthening infrastructure systems in the face of global challenges that Ukraine faces in today's geopolitical environment.

Changes to legal acts regulating the activities of mobile operators and Internet providers open up new opportunities for effective management of personnel resources and ensuring reliable communication in wartime conditions.
