The SBU destroyed tanks worth more than 2 billion dollars

The cost of Russian tanks destroyed by SBU units exceeds 2 billion dollars. This was reported by political scientist and ex-people's deputy Oleksandr Chernenko, commenting on the data on 1,006 destroyed units of equipment during the full-scale war.

According to Chernenko, the cost of one Russian tank ranges from $2-3 million for the T-72 model to $4.5 million for the newest T-90 "Breakthrough". Taking into account the overwhelming number of old models of tanks in the Russian arsenal, the total losses of the aggressor amount to more than 2 billion dollars.

The expert emphasizes that in addition to tanks, SBU units also destroy other expensive enemy military equipment. Among them are armored personnel carriers, artillery systems and radar installations. Recently, Ukrainian drones destroyed a third Russian radar, the cost of which is estimated at 100 million dollars each. All destroyed units of equipment have confirmation in the form of published footage of combat operations.

Chernenko notes that SBU units destroyed more tanks than Ukraine received from all allies combined. This significantly affected Russia's ability to conduct effective offensive operations. Since the stock of Soviet equipment has been significantly reduced, the Russian army is forced to use ATVs or infantry without the support of armored vehicles.

Russian industry does not have time to restore losses, which reduces their combat capability. The destruction of a thousand tanks by SBU units played a key role in this process, the political scientist notes.

In general, the SBU's successes in destroying Russian equipment demonstrate the effectiveness of Ukrainian special services in the war against the aggressor, reducing their opportunities for further offensives and strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities.
