Since 2015, Ukraine's average annual lobbying expenditures in the United States have been approximately $270,000, with the exception of 2020, when lobbying spending was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2022, the largest funders of Ukraine's efforts to strengthen its position in the United States were the government, which spent more than $3 million, and the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, which allocated almost $2 million for this purpose.
According to a representative of OpendataMedia, "last year, Ukraine lobbied for its interests in America and the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, spending a little over $50,000."
Currently, there are 504 active lobbying companies in the United States, and a total of 6,772 such companies are registered in the United States.
According to the report, before the war began, Russia invested approximately $38 million annually in lobbying for its interests in the United States, but in 2022, these costs decreased by more than ten times, although they remained significantly higher than Ukrainian costs.
