Ukrposhta Turns Profitable: Company Improves Financial Performance at the Beginning of 2026

Ukrposhta JSC completed the first four months of 2026 with a profit, despite difficult operating conditions during the war, shelling, and increased costs. According to the results of January-April, the company demonstrated a positive financial result both in terms of operating activities and overall indicators.

This was reported by Ukrposhta CEO Ihor Smilyansky. According to him, the company's total profit for the first four months of the year amounted to 106.3 million hryvnias.

The company's head emphasized that the positive result was achieved despite the extremely difficult winter period. This is not only due to constant Russian shelling and property losses, but also to a significant increase in fuel prices, which remains one of the key cost factors for the postal operator.

In his Telegram message, Igor Smilyansky noted that the company completed the first four months of 2026 with a profit both at the operating level and in terms of overall financial results. He emphasized that this was possible due to the work of the company's core business.

The head paid special attention to the improvement in EBITDA. If earlier operating profit was negative and amounted to minus 13.6 million hryvnias, now this figure has increased to positive 122.9 million hryvnias.

Smilyansky separately emphasized that this is precisely the company's operating income, excluding the sale of property or other one-time sources of income. Thus, the financial improvement was the result of the company's direct activities.

In addition, according to the results of the first four months of the year, Ukrposhta's equity reached 2.3 billion hryvnias. This indicates the strengthening of the company's financial stability even in wartime conditions and a high load on the country's logistics infrastructure.
