President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on problems with the implementation of plans for preparing for the upcoming heating season. According to him, some regions are lagging behind the approved schedules within the framework of the implementation of the so-called resilience plans.
The head of state stated this on his social networks, emphasizing that the established deadlines should ensure a concrete result before the beginning of winter. At the same time, violations of schedules are already being recorded in a number of regions, which is causing concern at the central level.
In particular, according to the president, questions arise regarding the pace of work in the Lviv, Volyn and Odessa regions, as well as in the capital. These regions are currently not demonstrating the necessary dynamics for the timely completion of preparatory measures.
As of April 14, 368 facilities are under construction or reconstruction in Ukraine within the framework of resilience plans. The main emphasis is on strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure, which should ensure a stable winter period even in conditions of potential threats.
In response to the situation, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the resumption of the regular format of conference calls. They will involve government officials, representatives of regional authorities, communities, law enforcement agencies, as well as the military command responsible for protecting the relevant facilities.
The President emphasized that the implementation of these plans is of national importance. This is not only about infrastructure projects, but also about the safety of citizens in the winter period. Therefore, responsibility for the implementation of tasks will be personalized in each region, and control over the process will be strengthened.
