    Some women deliberately avoid intimacy, inventing various excuses. These could include fatigue after work, menstrual pain, or simply a desire to rest. Often, to maintain the illusion of sleep or fatigue, women resort to small "masquerade" tricks: they feign sleep or try to occupy themselves with other activities to avoid unwanted contact.

    Sociological studies confirm that such situations are quite common. After having children and reaching a certain age, women's sexual interest in their spouses may decline. A survey of married women found that only about a third truly enjoy intimacy with their husbands, while the majority perceive sex as an obligation, and one in five uses various tricks to avoid it.

    The reasons why women lose interest in intimacy vary widely. These can include physical factors, hormonal changes, psychological stress, accumulated fatigue, or a lack of emotional intimacy. Meanwhile, men often avoid discussing the topic, fearing hurting their spouse's feelings or suffering a blow to their own self-esteem.

    It's important to understand that a decline in sexual activity in a marriage doesn't necessarily mean the end of the relationship. Understanding, honest conversation, and joint efforts can help restore harmony. Couples who openly discuss their desires and difficulties are more likely to find compromises and maintain emotional intimacy, even if physical activity temporarily declines.

    Maintaining a healthy relationship requires paying attention to the emotional and physical needs of both spouses. Sometimes it can be helpful to introduce new habits, share hobbies, or spend more time together relaxing. This not only helps strengthen the emotional connection, but also gradually restores interest in intimacy, making the relationship more harmonious and comfortable for both parties.
