Military levy is growing: budget revenues increased by over 27%

In the first quarter of 2026, revenues from the military levy to the state budget of Ukraine showed significant growth. According to the results of January-March, this figure reached 43.5 billion hryvnias, which is 27.5% more than in the same period last year.

This was reported by the State Tax Service of Ukraine. The department emphasizes that the positive dynamics indicate the stability of tax revenues and the efficiency of the administration of this type of levy.

The capital traditionally provides the largest contribution to filling the budget. In particular, Kyiv remains the undisputed leader in terms of the volume of military levy paid - 14.2 billion hryvnias in the first quarter.

Among the regions, the second in terms of revenues is Dnipropetrovsk region, where the budget received 4.6 billion hryvnias. Lviv region also demonstrates high figures with the amount of 3.4 billion hryvnias.

The list of leaders also includes Kharkiv region, which provided 2.8 billion hryvnias in revenues from military levy. This indicates the significant economic potential of the region even in the conditions of a difficult security situation.

In general, the growth of revenues from military levy is an important signal for public finances. This resource plays a key role in financing the security and defense sector, ensuring stable support for the Armed Forces.

The State Tax Service of Ukraine emphasizes that further dynamics will depend on economic activity in the country, as well as on the level of responsibility of taxpayers in fulfilling their obligations to the state.
