In the first quarter of 2026, local budgets of Ukraine were replenished by UAH 132.8 billion in taxes and fees. Compared to the same period last year, revenues increased by 15%, the State Tax Service of Ukraine reports.
The main sources of income of local budgets remain the personal income tax, the single tax and property fees. Thus, the personal income tax for three months amounted to UAH 76 billion, which is 18.8% more than last year. The single tax reached UAH 21.8 billion (+10.4%), and property taxes provided UAH 14.6 billion (+13.4%). The corporate income tax brought in UAH 11.8 billion (+3.6%), and the environmental tax - almost UAH 400 million (+4.8%).
In addition to the main taxes, revenue growth was also recorded in other areas. Thus, the tourist tax amounted to UAH 82.2 million (+23.6%), the rent for the use of subsoil – UAH 250.6 million (+23.4%), and the fee for parking spaces – UAH 56.2 million (+17.5%).
The funds received are directed to support key areas: financing educational and medical institutions, the implementation of social programs, as well as the restoration of infrastructure damaged as a result of military operations. Such financial support helps ensure stability at the local level and improves the quality of service provision to citizens.
To increase the efficiency of tax and fee collection, the authorities continue to simplify administrative procedures. Digital services are being developed that allow taxpayers to interact with authorities faster and more transparently, reducing the administrative burden.
Thus, the first quarter of 2026 demonstrates a steady growth in local budget revenues, which provides a resource base for community development, increased social support, and infrastructure restoration in affected areas.
