  • Child growth in the womb depends on gender

    Опубликовано: 2026-04-08 08:48:15

It was previously believed that boys and girls develop identically in the womb, but recent research has refuted this notion. Vicky Clifton, author of a study on embryonic development, found that the sex of the unborn child significantly influences its growth and development.

According to the study, male embryos are more sensitive to maternal stress. Prolonged stress can slow the growth of boys, and in some cases lead to prematurity or developmental arrest. Under these conditions, girls develop more steadily and experience fewer abnormalities.

Scientists also considered the influence of other factors. For example, maternal smoking can have different effects on embryos. Boys demonstrate a higher vulnerability to negative influences, while girls continue to grow within the normal range.

The study lasted approximately one year and included monitoring the development of multiple embryos at different stages of pregnancy. The specialists note that the results demonstrate the importance of considering the child's gender when monitoring and supporting the health of both mother and fetus.

Based on these data, it is proposed to develop individualized therapies that take into account the child's gender. Such measures will help correct potential growth and developmental abnormalities, increasing the chances of having a healthy baby.

Thus, modern medicine increasingly recognizes that a more personalized approach to pregnancy is needed. Understanding the differences in the development of boys and girls opens up new opportunities for preventing and maintaining the health of future children.
