Iran threatens global tech giants: Tesla, Google and Microsoft on the list

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced its intention to attack 18 major international companies, including Tesla, Google and Microsoft. This is reported by the Daily Express.

According to the publication, the threats came due to the alleged ignoring of warnings by the American leadership and related technology and spy companies to stop terrorist operations. The IRGC stressed that it plans to begin actions against the companies from April 1 at 20:00 Tehran time.

In addition to Tesla, Google and Microsoft, the list of potential targets also includes such corporations as Apple, Meta, IBM, Intel and Oracle.

The IRGC says that the attacks will be a response to “every murder in Iran” and will directly affect the companies’ divisions outside the country. The report states that actions are planned against subsidiaries and offices of corporations in various countries, which poses a serious threat to the global business infrastructure.

Analysts note that the threats of the IRGC may have more of a psychological effect than real operational consequences, since most of these companies have sophisticated cybersecurity systems and international legal mechanisms to protect their assets. However, even the announcement of such intentions increases tensions in the global technology market and among investors.

Global technology giants have traditionally tried to respond to such threats through their own security departments and cooperation with governments to minimize risks to employees and critical infrastructure.
