In 2025, Ukraine imported 15 types of fuel and energy products from 69 countries for a total of $10.5 billion. This is $1.6 billion or 18.3% more than in 2024. Such data were published by DiXi Group analysts based on Energy Map statistics.

The largest share of imports in monetary terms was occupied by oil and oil products (except crude oil) - 62.8%. This was followed by petroleum gases - 18.3%, coal - 9.6%, electricity - 5.5%, and the rest of the fuel and energy resources, including coal and oil processing products, amounted to 3.8%.

In second place in terms of costs is Greece with $ 1 billion, or 9.6% of the total, where 98.6% of costs were also oil and oil products.

Another 8.8% of costs fell on imports from the USA, 8.3% - from Lithuania, 7% - from Slovakia. This demonstrates that Ukraine continues to actively diversify energy supplies, ensuring the reliability of supply against the background of global risks.

At the same time, Ukraine in 2025 exported 12 types of fuel and energy products to 92 countries, receiving $ 491.1 million in revenue. The remaining fuel and energy resources provided 13.4% of revenues. Hard coal exports were not carried out in 2025, while in 2024 it provided 18.1% of annual revenues.

Ukraine received the largest export revenues from Slovakia - 100.3 million dollars, or 20.4% of all revenues, of which 76.7 million dollars. fell on crude oil and oil products, and 14.3 million dollars. on electricity. From the Republic of Moldova, 97.6 million dollars, or 19.9%, were received, mainly for electricity (94.7 million dollars). The share of revenues from exports to Hungary was 13.7%, to Belgium – 11.9%, and to Poland – 7.9%.

Thus, 2025 showed an active increase in costs for energy imports, while Ukraine is increasing electricity exports and supporting the diversification of supply markets, which is an important factor in the country's energy security.
