    Опубликовано: 2026-03-17 10:00:59

The Ukrainian retail sector continues to demonstrate confident growth. According to the results of a new study by the Retail Index, the total income of companies included in the 2026 rating reached UAH 647.33 billion. This is 22% more than the total figure of the top ten leaders in the previous rating for 2025.

Such data was published by the open data analytics service Opendatabot. Analysts also drew attention to the significant increase in the minimum threshold for getting into the top ten largest companies in the industry. If in the previous rating it was enough to have about UAH 20 billion in income, then in the new Index this figure has increased to UAH 30 billion.

The largest market player remains the ATB-Market chain, which has been holding the leadership for several years. At the end of 2025, its revenue amounted to UAH 247.35 billion, which is more than a third of the total turnover of all companies in the top 10. During the year, the chain's turnover increased by 18%, and profit increased by 11% and reached UAH 3.43 billion.

Silpo-Food, part of the Fozzy Group, has been in second place for the fourth year in a row. The company received UAH 106.07 billion in revenue, which is 14% more than a year earlier. At the same time, this chain demonstrated the most rapid growth in profit among all participants in the rating - the figure increased 7.5 times and reached UAH 1.16 billion.

The third position is held by the Aurora chain of stores for the second year in a row. Its turnover for the year increased by 30% and amounted to UAH 49.25 billion. In addition, the company became the most profitable among all Index participants: in 2025, its net profit reached UAH 4.52 billion, which is 11% higher than in the previous year.

Another company from the Fozzy group, Fora, entered the top four again. The chain took fourth place for the second time in a row. Over the year, its revenue increased by 27% and amounted to UAH 44.34 billion, and profit tripled to UAH 394.5 million.

The Comfy chain of appliance stores returned to the top 5. Last year, the company did not make it to the rating due to untimely submission of financial statements. According to the results of 2025, its revenue amounted to UAH 39 billion, which is 12% more than in 2024. At the same time, profit almost halved - from UAH 25.5 million to UAH 12.8 million.

The sixth position is occupied by the Novus supermarket chain for the second year in a row. Its revenue increased by 20% and reached UAH 34.69 billion, while profit remained almost at the same level — about UAH 556 million.

Not all companies in the rating were able to end the year with a positive financial result. While in the previous Index all leaders worked profitably, according to the results of 2025, there were also loss-making companies. For example, Metro Cash & Carry Ukraine, which ranks seventh for the second year in a row, recorded a loss of UAH 380.9 million. At the same time, its revenue increased by 18% and amounted to UAH 33.92 billion.

The year also turned out to be difficult for the Rozetka company. The company suffered a loss of UAH 38.9 million, while revenue remained practically unchanged — UAH 30 billion, which is only 1% more than a year earlier. Because of this, the company lost its position in the ranking, dropping from fifth place to tenth.

The eighth place for the third year in a row is occupied by the EVA chain of stores. According to the results of the year, its revenue grew by 18% and reached UAH 31.82 billion. However, profit decreased by 21% - from UAH 1.4 billion to approximately UAH 1.1 billion.

The new participant in the Index was the company Petrol Kontrakt, which operates under the WOG brand. Despite the fact that the company was created only in 2022, it demonstrated the fastest growth in revenue among all participants in the rating. Over the year, the indicator increased by 1.7 times - to UAH 30.79 billion. Profit also increased by 1.7 times and amounted to UAH 342.6 million.

At the same time, several major market players did not make it into the top ten this year. In particular, the Varus chain received UAH 24 billion in revenue, which is 20% more than a year earlier, and its profit increased by 21% and amounted to UAH 42.7 million. Also out of the rating was the company Foodcom, which manages the Velyka Kyshenya chain. Its revenue increased by 19% to UAH 23.65 billion, while profit increased threefold and amounted to UAH 378.7 million.
