Ukraine’s international partners are introducing another package of restrictive measures against the Russian Federation. The United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and New Zealand announced new sanctions. The relevant information was published on the official website of the President of Ukraine.

In particular, the United Kingdom presented the largest sanctions package since 2022. The new restrictions focus on Russian revenues from the oil and gas sector, as well as the activities of the so-called shadow fleet, which is used to circumvent previously imposed international sanctions.

Australia also announced large-scale measures of influence. 180 legal entities and individuals, as well as vessels of the Russian shadow fleet, were subject to sanctions. In addition to personal and sectoral restrictions, the Australian side decided to reduce the maximum price for Russian oil to 44.1 US dollars per barrel.

Canada, for its part, is imposing sanctions against 21 individuals and 53 organizations. 100 vessels of the Russian shadow fleet are also subject to restrictions. In addition, Ottawa, like other partners, is reducing the price ceiling for Russian oil to $44.1 per barrel.

New Zealand announced the introduction of the 34th package of sanctions. It covers individuals, companies and vessels associated with supporting Russian aggression. At the same time, Wellington also joined the decision to reduce the maximum allowable price for Russian oil to $44.1 per barrel.

The report also notes that on the fourth anniversary of the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, the United Nations adopted a resolution initiated by Ukraine, "Supporting Sustainable Peace in Ukraine." The document was supported by 107 states.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that the adoption of the resolution by the General Assembly is an important step towards achieving lasting peace. According to him, the document contains clear calls for a complete ceasefire and the return of Ukrainian citizens. The Head of State emphasized that Ukraine will continue active cooperation with international partners to achieve a just and sustainable peace.
