The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has supported amendments to the legislation that open up the possibility of increasing salaries for employees of extracurricular education institutions. This concerns the updating of the provisions of the law "On Extracurricular Education" regarding remuneration in this area.
According to the press service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the parliament has adopted the law "On Amendments to Article 22 of the Law of Ukraine "On Extracurricular Education" regarding remuneration of employees of extracurricular education institutions". The document is aimed at improving the mechanisms of financial support for employees in state and municipal institutions of extracurricular education.
The key innovation provides for the expansion of the financial powers of the founders of such institutions. From now on, they will have the right to independently set the size of official salaries, as well as determine additional payments, allowances and monetary rewards for employees at a level exceeding the standards approved by the government.
In addition, the founders of state and municipal institutions will be able to introduce additional forms of material incentives. This is about the possibility of financing such payments from own budget revenues, which creates the prerequisites for a more flexible personnel policy.
The parliament emphasizes that the adopted law is aimed at strengthening social guarantees for out-of-school education workers. It is expected that the new norms will contribute to increasing the prestige of the profession and increasing motivation to work.
The implementation of the document should also create conditions for attracting and retaining qualified specialists in the field of out-of-school education. As a result, this should positively affect the quality of educational services provided to children and youth within state and municipal institutions.
