Ukraine's IT exports grow after two years of decline

Ukraine's IT industry in 2025 demonstrated a noticeable recovery in exports after two years of decline, reports the Lviv IT Cluster, citing data from the National Bank of Ukraine.

According to the results of last year, exports of computer services grew by 3.3% and reached $6.66 billion. This brought the Ukrainian economy $210 million more than in 2024, which indicates the stabilization and recovery of the IT sector despite the ongoing challenges of the war.

The growth in December 2025 was especially noticeable: the volume of exports of computer services increased by 26.2% and amounted to $685 million. Compared to November, this added $142 million in additional foreign exchange earnings to the economy.

According to the Lviv IT Cluster, December was the most successful month of the year both in comparison with other months of 2025 and December 2023. This result also entered the top three highest December indicators of the last five years, second only to December 2021 ($792 million) and 2022 ($751 million).

The IT sector continues to be a key source of foreign exchange earnings for the Ukrainian economy. At the same time, it holds second place in the structure of the country's total exports. The share of computer services among all goods and services in 2025 was 12.3%.

Food products remain the leader with a share of 41.5%, and metallurgy is in third place, the share of which increased to 8.7% compared to 7.9% in 2024. Experts note that the resumption of IT exports underscores the industry's resilience and its strategic importance in supporting Ukraine's economy.
