In 2025, revenue from military levy in Ukraine showed a sharp increase. The total amount of revenue reached 163.6 billion hryvnias, which is more than three times higher than the figure for 2024, when the budget received 51.2 billion hryvnias.
This was reported by the State Tax Service of Ukraine, summarizing the results of budget revenues for the past year. The department emphasizes that such dynamics are one of the most noticeable among tax payments.
According to the tax service, the capital has traditionally provided the largest contribution to the payment of military levy. In 2025, 52.6 billion hryvnias were received from Kyiv to the budget, which is the highest figure among all regions.
The second place in terms of revenue was taken by the Dnipropetrovsk region, whose taxpayers transferred 18.2 billion UAH. Significant amounts also came from the Lviv region — 12.6 billion UAH.
The Kharkiv region also entered the top four leading regions. According to the results of 2025, it ensured the receipt of military levy in the amount of 10.3 billion UAH.
The State Tax Service explains the significant growth in revenues by the effect of updated legislative norms, as well as by increasing the efficiency of tax administration. According to experts, improving control and expanding the tax base had a positive impact on filling the budget.
The department emphasized that the military levy continues to be one of the key sources of financing the state's defense capabilities and an important element of supporting the security and defense sector of Ukraine.
