    Sleep isn't just rest; it's a vital process that ensures the body's normal functioning. Insufficient sleep impacts the immune system, cardiovascular health, and overall well-being. When a person doesn't sleep, the brain doesn't have the opportunity to fully recover, and the body doesn't have the opportunity to relax and recharge. Poor sleep leads to fatigue, irritability, and decreased productivity.

    Sleep disturbances are often linked to stress. Worries, anxiety, depression, and constant busyness can interfere with sleep. Even positive events can sometimes trigger tension, which interferes with rest. At such times, the body is in a heightened state of alert—the heart rate increases, muscles tense, and the brain continues to work hard, preventing relaxation.

    To improve sleep, it's important to learn how to manage stress. One way is to plan ahead. Write down your worries and create an action plan. This helps separate pressing issues from those that don't require immediate attention and reduces tension before bed. It's also helpful to distract your mind from anxious thoughts through monotonous activities, such as counting numbers or reciting poetry.

    Physical activity helps combat insomnia, but it requires careful timing. Morning or afternoon aerobics relieve stress and promote relaxation in the evening. It's important to avoid naps during the day if you have trouble sleeping at night, as this can disrupt your biological clock and reduce sleep quality.

    Bedroom organization is also key. The room should be cool, with optimal humidity, and the bed should be used exclusively for sleep and intimacy. Remove televisions, computers, and visible alarm clocks from the bedroom so they don't distract you and interfere with relaxation.

    If insomnia occurs, try temporarily leaving the bedroom and doing something quiet in another room, such as reading or light work. When your mind is distracted from trying to sleep, relaxation comes more quickly. Regularly following these rules helps improve sleep, improve well-being, and strengthen your health.
