Real estate tax in 2025: almost 20% growth and Kyiv's leadership

According to the results of 2025, almost 1.1 million Ukrainian citizens paid real estate tax. This allowed local budgets to receive over UAH 12.7 billion, which is UAH 2.1 billion or 19.3% more than in 2024. Such data is provided by the State Tax Service of Ukraine.

The State Tax Service of Ukraine emphasized that the tax on real estate other than land remains an important source of income for local communities. These funds are directed to the development of infrastructure, maintenance of municipal facilities and the implementation of local programs.

Kyiv became the leader in tax collection - the capital provided over UAH 2.5 billion in revenues. In the Kyiv region and Lviv region, each region collected UAH 1.3 billion, and the Dnipropetrovsk region earned UAH 1.2 billion. These regions are distinguished by active real estate markets and developed infrastructure, which contributes to the growth of revenues.

According to tax officials, the increase in fees indicates a responsible attitude of Ukrainians to property. By investing in their property and paying taxes on time, citizens support the development of local communities and improve the quality of services in settlements.

Tax authorities also note that the growth in revenues occurs against the background of stable development of the real estate market in many regions. This includes both private apartments and houses, and commercial real estate, which is actively being put into operation.

The State Property Service of Ukraine emphasizes that the real estate tax not only forms the budgets of communities, but also stimulates investments in residential and commercial construction. The growth in property tax payments demonstrates the confidence of citizens in the economic development of the country and the efficiency of local government.
