The Czech public initiative in support of Ukraine “A Gift for Putin” has received one of the largest donations in its entire history. An anonymous benefactor transferred 100 million Czech crowns to help Ukraine, which is equivalent to over 4 million euros, after which the organization promptly announced the directions for using these funds.
The receipt of a significant amount became known from the initiative’s official statement published on the social network X. The message about the donation appeared on December 14 and immediately attracted the attention of the public both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
According to the published information, the anonymous donor transferred exactly 100 million crowns, which is approximately 4.1 million euros. The initiative noted that this was a record contribution with the so-called “eight zeros”, which became one of the largest one-time donations in support of Ukraine from private individuals in the Czech Republic.
The very next day after the announcement of the receipt of funds, the “Gift for Putin” team announced a detailed plan for their distribution. The total amount of the donation was divided into 26 separate parts, each of which will be directed to the specific needs of the Ukrainian side.
First of all, the funds are planned to be used for the purchase of various types of drones, as well as plastic explosive devices. A separate part of the funding will be directed to the purchase of equipment for units that work directly on the front line, taking into account the current needs of the front.
In addition, the list of planned purchases also includes rifles necessary for the performance of individual combat missions. The initiative emphasized that they intend to use the funds received as quickly as possible so that they can start working in support of Ukraine as quickly as possible.
Representatives of "A Gift for Putin" emphasized that promptness in spending the donation is of fundamental importance. According to them, the main goal is not to accumulate resources, but to transform financial assistance into concrete support for Ukrainian defenders as quickly as possible.
