The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to provide additional funding for the needs of frontline territories, allocating over UAH 2.4 billion for key infrastructure and energy areas. The funds will be used to maintain roads and provide fuel for generators in regions directly bordering the combat zone.

This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko. According to her, the government has increased support for nine frontline regions, given their increased needs in conditions of constant threats and the burden on critical infrastructure.

In particular, the Cabinet of Ministers has decided to allocate UAH 665.3 million for the purchase of fuel for generators. This funding will be provided to nine frontline regions, where autonomous energy supply remains critically important for the stable operation of medical institutions, life support facilities, and population assistance points.

The government allocated the bulk of the additional funds — 1.8 billion hryvnias — from the state budget reserve fund for the maintenance and restoration of roads in frontline regions. As the Prime Minister noted, the decision was made, in particular, in response to numerous requests from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to Yulia Svyrydenko, these transport arteries are of strategic importance, as they provide military logistics, medical transportation and humanitarian routes for both the Defense Forces units and the civilian population of frontline territories.

Within the framework of this funding, 1.46 billion hryvnias will be directed to the Restoration Agency for the maintenance of roads of state importance in Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Odessa regions. Another 306 million hryvnias will be received by regional military administrations for the repair and maintenance of local roads in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.

In addition, the head of government announced additional financial support for local budgets. The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated 1.6 billion hryvnias in additional subsidies for the fourth quarter of 2025, a significant part of which will be directed specifically to the budgets of frontline regions to ensure their financial sustainability.
