  • Salaries in Ukraine have tripled: labor market leaders and the most profitable professions

    Опубликовано: 2025-12-11 18:00:40

Over the past four years, the Ukrainian labor market has undergone significant changes. In a number of professions, median salaries have more than doubled, and some specialties have shown an almost fourfold increase in income. The most dynamic growth is observed in labor specialties and the trade sector, where the demand for qualified labor significantly exceeds the supply.

The absolute leaders in terms of income growth have become unskilled workers. Their median salaries have increased by 384% over four years and in October 2025 reached 23 thousand UAH. Painters took second place with an average salary of 47 thousand UAH, which is 215% higher than in 2021.

Other professions with high income growth include bricklayers (+157%, UAH 47.5 thousand), fitness trainers (+151%, UAH 15 thousand), PR and advertising designers (+150%, UAH 25 thousand), electricians (+145%, UAH 35 thousand), foremen (+144%, UAH 50 thousand), plasterers (+140%, UAH 60 thousand) and plumbers (+137%, UAH 41.5 thousand). It is clear that most of the leaders are laborers, which reflects the high market demand for technical specialists.

Although some vacancies did not make the top 10 in terms of growth rates, their salaries also increased significantly. Thus, marketers earn 132% more (UAH 25,500), electricians - 131% (UAH 30,000), bakers - 130% (UAH 30,500), dentists - 129% (UAH 40,000). Builders and tilers have added 125% (UAH 45,000), couriers - 122% (UAH 30,000), hotel, restaurant and tourism managers - 119% (UAH 29,500), and tutors - 113%. Salaries of assistants have reached UAH 22,500, which is 105% more compared to four years earlier.

The OLX Robota study shows that the largest increase in median salaries is observed among merchandisers, handymen and painters - the increase exceeds 200%, and in some cases reaches almost 400%. This confirms the high demand for skilled workers in the trade and construction sectors.

Overall, the data indicate structural changes in the labor market: a significant increase in incomes was noted in trade, medicine, blue-collar and creative professions. The growth of salaries in these areas demonstrates that skilled specialists remain one of the most valuable resources of the Ukrainian economy.
