The government launches Winter Support: Ukrainians will receive 1,000 UAH from November

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a mechanism for paying a one-time benefit “Winter Support” in the amount of 1,000 UAH for each citizen staying in the country. It will be possible to apply for the payment from November 15 to December 24, 2025 via the “Diya” mobile application, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said.

According to the Prime Minister, the program is designed for all Ukrainians, and you can apply for assistance both for yourself and for a child. She emphasized that the goal of the program is to support the population during the winter period, help with paying for utilities and other basic needs.

There are two ways to receive 1,000 UAH. The first is through the “Diya” application, where after processing the application, the funds will be transferred to the “National Cashback” card. The money can be used to pay for utilities, purchase medicines and Ukrainian-made products, postal services, books, as well as for charity or donations in support of the Defense Forces.

The second way is to receive payments at Ukrposhta branches. In this case, the funds are transferred to a special account, and they can be spent on Ukrainian-made goods, pay for utilities, and donate. This option is available to those who do not use mobile applications or bank cards.

Funds under the program can be used until June 30, 2026, which gives enough time to plan expenses during the winter period. This allows Ukrainians to be more flexible in using assistance and provides support in the most difficult months of the year.

The Winter Support program is part of the government's social support measures for the population, which are aimed at covering the costs of energy, products, and basic needs of families during the winter. It is expected that it will reach millions of citizens across the country and will become an effective tool for alleviating financial pressure during the cold season.
