During the ten months of 2025, the State Energy Supervision Agency (SES) inspected more than 1,500 power grid facilities that were affected by Russian attacks, the agency’s official website reports.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, experts have inspected about 9,500 power grid facilities at 21 distribution system operators, which allows them to assess the scale of the damage and priorities for infrastructure restoration.

Despite constant shelling and difficult working conditions, Ukrainian power engineers continue to restore power supply systems. The participation of the State Energy Supervision Agency in the work of special commissions ensures an accurate technical assessment of damage and monitoring compliance with safety standards during repair work.

Inspectors systematically summarize the results of the inspections, which allows distribution system operators to effectively plan repair work and purchase the necessary equipment. To date, almost 11 thousand defect reports have been drawn up, which have become the basis for the restoration and replacement of damaged network elements.

The State Energy Supervision Service emphasizes that inspections of damaged facilities are a critically important stage of energy restoration. They guarantee the technical validity of decisions, as well as ensure coordinated interaction between all participants in the repair process.

Thanks to systematic inspections and control over the implementation of repair work, Ukraine strengthens the resilience of the power system and increases readiness for possible new attacks, maintaining uninterrupted electricity supply to the population and critical infrastructure.
