The international train No. 99/100 Kyiv-Bucharest will now stop in Moldova. Passengers will be able to reach the cities of Ungheni, Bălți-Oraș and Ocnita, which opens up new opportunities for travel between Ukraine, Moldova and Romania. This was reported by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.
As the company specified, the train will pass border control directly in the cities of Velchinets and Ungheni. This will simplify border crossing for passengers and speed up the processing of necessary documents during travel.
At the same time, Ukrzaliznytsia reminds that citizens of countries that are not members of the European Union may need a transit visa when traveling through the territory of Moldova. Ukrainians, according to current agreements, do not need such a visa, so the trip will not require additional documents.
The company notes that the Kyiv-Bucharest train enjoys stable demand among passengers, as it is one of the most convenient ways to get to European airports. In particular, the route provides a comfortable connection with international airports in Iasi and Bucharest, which is especially convenient for travelers traveling further to other European countries.
The train schedule remains unchanged: from Kyiv it departs from the Central Station at 06:30 and arrives in Bucharest at 06:47 the next day. In the return direction, the train departs from the Romanian Gara de Nord station at 19:10 and arrives in the capital of Ukraine at 19:34 the next day.
Tickets for the flight can be purchased on the official website of Ukrzaliznytsia, in the mobile application or at the ticket offices of railway stations. The cost of a seat in a compartment car is approximately 3,800 hryvnias. Recall, the Kyiv-Bucharest train made its first flight on October 10 of this year, and since then has become an important transport bridge between Ukraine and EU countries.
