  • Trump Rejects Transfer of Tomahawk Cruise Missiles to Ukraine

    Опубликовано: 2025-11-04 15:00:25

US President Donald Trump said that at the moment the White House does not plan to transfer Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine. He told reporters on board Air Force One during a press conference.

Journalists asked Trump about the possibility of supplying these long-range missiles to Ukraine. The president replied: “No, at least not now. Yes, I can change my position, but at this point – no.” This statement refutes previous reports circulating in the media about the possible arming of Ukraine with American Tomahawks.

In addition, Donald Trump was asked what could be the “last straw” for the United States in Russia’s actions towards Ukraine. He emphasized that there is no such event and that sometimes events should simply be allowed to develop. According to the president, the conflict is difficult for both Moscow and Kyiv: “They are fighting fiercely. This is a difficult war for Putin — a lot of soldiers have died, maybe about a million. This is a huge number. And for Ukraine it is also difficult. Sometimes you have to let the situation get to the limit so that everyone understands it for themselves.”

Earlier, the American publication CNN reported that Ukraine could receive Tomahawk missiles. According to journalists, the Pentagon gave the “green light” to the supply of these missiles, noting that this would not harm American arsenals. However, the final decision on the transfer remained with the Trump administration.

It is worth noting that the Tomahawk is a long-range cruise missile capable of hitting targets at long distances, which makes it a potentially strategic asset for the Ukrainian army. However, despite the positive conclusion of the Pentagon, the political decision on the transfer of such systems remains within the competence of the US president.

Thus, for now, the supply of powerful American missiles to Ukraine will not take place, and the issue of their possible use remains the subject of political discussions in the US. This emphasizes the complexity of making decisions in the field of military support for allies in the context of the long-term war in Ukraine.
