The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated UAH 1.4 billion to support war-affected communities and regions

The Government of Ukraine continues to consistently support territories that have been affected by the war or have been deoccupied. The allocation of UAH 1.4 billion of additional subsidies has recently been approved, which will be aimed at financially strengthening 360 local budgets of territorial communities and regional budgets for the third quarter of 2025. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

This additional subsidy is of key importance for compensating for losses in local budget revenues that have arisen due to hostilities, temporary occupation, or proximity to the front line. Thanks to such payments, communities can support vital areas and stabilize their financial situation.

The financial assistance is distributed as follows: UAH 635.7 million will be received by 164 local budgets as compensation for losses from personal income tax; UAH 383.8 million will be received by 81 communities as compensation for losses from land payments; UAH 297.3 million will be directed to the regional budgets of Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Odesa, Poltava and Sumy regions as compensation for losses from corporate income tax.

In addition, UAH 56.8 million went to 38 communities as compensation for losses from the single tax, and UAH 38.3 million to 77 communities as compensation for losses from the tax on real estate other than land. Such a detailed approach allows for targeted support of local budgets depending on the specifics of the losses.

The state also systematically supports communities located near the front. This year, local budgets of these territories have already received more than UAH 15.9 billion in additional subsidies. The funds should be effectively used to ensure the operation of schools, hospitals, social institutions and to stimulate the local economy.

Thus, the government ensures the sustainability of financial support for communities that have suffered the most from the war, contributing to the restoration of infrastructure and economic stability in the regions.
