In Ukraine, over 285 billion UAH were allocated for social payments in 9 months of 2025

In the first nine months of 2025, Ukraine financed social programs on time and in full. In total, 285.5 billion UAH were allocated from the state budget for payments implemented through the Ministry of Social Policy, the Ministry of Finance reports.

Pension programs received the largest amount of funds. 178.2 billion UAH were allocated for the financial support of pensions, allowances and increases assigned by the Pension Fund. This indicates the state's priority in ensuring timely and stable pension provision for citizens.

48.2 billion UAH were allocated for social protection of citizens in difficult life circumstances. More than 745 thousand people received assistance, including internally displaced persons. This made it possible to ensure the basic needs of citizens who found themselves in crisis situations.

State support was also provided to low-income families - UAH 10.2 billion was allocated to assist more than 195 thousand families. At the same time, benefits and housing subsidies were provided to more than 2.7 million households, for which UAH 28.1 billion was allocated. This allows citizens with low incomes to cover the costs of housing and utilities.

The state pays important attention to the social protection of children and families. UAH 16.8 billion was allocated to pay social benefits to almost 623 thousand recipients. In addition, UAH 4 billion was allocated to social protection of persons with disabilities, which contributes to improving the living conditions of this category of citizens.

In general, state financing of the social sphere in 2025 demonstrates systematicity and priority, ensuring support for the most vulnerable groups of the population and the stability of payments in difficult economic conditions.
