Shops, hairdressers and stores: Ukrzaliznytsia will earn over 8 million hryvnias from renting out station areas

JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" continues to actively use the commercial potential of railway stations, providing businesses with premises for rent through the *Prozorro.Sales* system. According to the results of the latest series of electronic auctions, the company expects to receive at least 8.4 million hryvnias over the entire lease term.

This was reported by the UZ press service. The company notes that vacant areas at railway stations are gradually turning into zones of active trade and service provision. New retail facilities will soon be operational in a number of cities, providing passengers with a greater choice of goods and services, and Ukrzaliznytsia with stable income.

In particular, a new mobile phone and accessories store will soon open at the Central Railway Station in Kyiv. It will be located on the right side of the escalator. During the auction, three participants competed for the right to rent this premises, and thanks to their competition, the rental rate almost doubled - to 200 thousand hryvnias.

As part of other lots, winners were determined who will open hairdressing salons at the Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernihiv railway stations. New retail outlets with food and non-food products will also appear at the station in Kryvyi Rih. Grocery stores will be equipped in Nizhyn and Korosten, providing passengers with the necessary assortment during their trips.

The tenants who won the auction will conclude contracts for a period of almost three years with the possibility of extension. This allows the business to have stability in planning its activities, and Ukrzaliznytsia to ensure long-term income.

In general, according to Ukrzaliznytsia estimates, the income from the auctions will amount to at least 8.4 million hryvnias throughout the entire lease period. Thus, the company not only optimizes the use of its space, but also makes stations more comfortable and convenient for passengers throughout Ukraine.
