Ukraine has received a grant from Japan in the amount of 8.8 billion Japanese yen, equivalent to approximately 58 million US dollars. This was made possible thanks to the support of Japan, which continues to provide assistance to Ukraine in times of war. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
These funds will come from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and will be used to finance important reconstruction projects that will help restore infrastructure and destroyed facilities in Ukraine. The government has already approved a draft agreement between Ukraine and Japan, which will allow for the effective distribution of these resources.
Shmyhal emphasized that the funds received will be used to finance key reconstruction projects that will help improve the economic situation in the country. According to him, this is an important step on the path to the restoration of Ukraine, and the government is constantly working to attract additional financial resources for this purpose.
"I am grateful to our Japanese partners for their continued, unwavering support for Ukraine. We continue to work with our allies around the world to mobilize even more resources to rebuild our country," the Prime Minister said.
Japan is one of Ukraine's main partners in international cooperation, and its grant assistance is of great importance to Ukraine at this difficult time. Rebuilding infrastructure and social facilities is an important task for the state, and these funds will be a significant contribution to this process.
This grant is also an important signal that Ukraine's international cooperation with other countries continues and is strengthening every day. It is important that countries such as Japan do not leave Ukraine alone with its problems, providing not only political but also practical assistance aimed at helping the country rebuild after the war.
