22 Ukrainian defense startups receive training in Silicon Valley

22 Ukrainian companies engaged in innovative developments in the defense and security sector have completed training in one of the most famous technology hubs in the world - Silicon Valley, USA. With the support of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, these startups became graduates of the accelerator organized by the California-based SRI International Research Institute.

For two weeks, Ukrainian entrepreneurs worked together with specialists from leading American universities, as well as representatives of the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) of the US Department of Defense. As part of the program, participants received valuable knowledge and advice that will allow them to improve their projects, and also presented their developments to potential investors from Silicon Valley.

Thanks to this experience, Ukrainian startups were able not only to receive useful recommendations for the development of their technologies, but also to strengthen ties with American investors. All program participants will also have the opportunity to participate in six-month mentoring sessions with leading experts who will help with market entry planning and attracting investment.

An important aspect of this program is that it allows Ukrainian companies to gain access to advanced methods of work in the field of defense innovations, which is of great importance for strengthening the country's defense capabilities. According to Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization Kateryna Chernogorenko, this cooperation will give a powerful impetus to the further development of defense technologies and strengthening national security.

During the training, Ukrainian startups were able not only to improve their knowledge and skills, but also to enlist the support of international partners. They were able to present their solutions in such important areas as cybersecurity, drone technologies, autonomous systems and many others. This step will significantly bring Ukrainian defense developments closer to global standards.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, together with institutes such as SRI International, will continue to support such initiatives, which will allow Ukrainian defense companies to gain access to the international market and attract the necessary investments to implement innovative projects in the field of national security.
