Ukraine and Meta to join forces to develop artificial intelligence

Ukraine has set an ambitious goal to become one of the three leading countries in the world in the development and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies by 2030. To achieve this goal, the country has enlisted the support of the global company Meta, which is to become a key partner in the development of this technology.

The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov spoke about this initiative during his meeting with Meta's Vice President for Public Policy in Europe, Markus Reinisch. They discussed further cooperation between Ukraine and the company, which, in addition to combating Russian propaganda and protecting Ukrainian accounts on social networks, will now focus on the development and integration of AI technologies in Ukraine.

According to Fedorov, one of the important achievements of the cooperation is access to Meta's innovative solutions in the field of artificial intelligence. In particular, the company presented the open-source solution LIama, which is a powerful platform for creating new technological projects that can be adapted for widespread use in Ukraine.

The Minister emphasized that by 2030, Ukraine intends to significantly strengthen its positions in the field of AI, and Meta's support is an important step in this direction. Given the ambitions and scale of the project, the company can become not only a technological partner, but also an important business partner in the transformation of the Ukrainian economy and state structures.

The Ministry of Digital Affairs is actively working on creating a national hub for the development of artificial intelligence in Ukraine. One of the key projects will be the launch of the AI ​​Center of Excellence, which is to become an international center for the development and implementation of AI solutions in public sectors. This center, according to plans, will become a platform for exchanging experience and technologies, and will also help integrate artificial intelligence into public administration, healthcare, education and other areas.

The program assumes that in the future Ukraine will be able not only to actively use AI to solve domestic problems, but also to export its developments to the international market. The initiative involves the development and implementation of innovative projects that can change approaches to public administration and business processes.
