Ukrainians received UAH 119.2 million in cashback for October: program details

In November, 1.22 million Ukrainians received payments to their accounts under the "National Cashback" program, accumulated in October for the purchase of Ukrainian-made goods. The total amount of payments amounted to UAH 119.2 million. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

According to the department, the second month of the program's operation demonstrated a significant increase in activity. The amount of cashback accumulated by citizens increased threefold compared to the first month, and the average amount of payment per person increased from UAH 57 to UAH 97. This indicates the growing popularity of the program among the population.

The number of participants who received payments also increased significantly. If in September 646 thousand citizens used the program, then in October there were already 1.22 million of them. The most active participants remain people under 45, who make up 66% of the total number. Another 23% fall on the middle age, and more than 10% are citizens aged 60 and older.

The program provides the opportunity to receive cashback for purchases of the most popular goods. Ukrainians most often choose bread, confectionery, dairy products, meat, soft drinks, cosmetics and household goods. Thus, the program stimulates support for domestic producers and promotes consumer activity.

However, not all citizens who have accumulated cashback were able to receive it. According to the Ministry of Economy, more than 350 thousand users did not activate the card in the "Diya" application, which was the main reason for the lack of payments. Another part of citizens either did not have accruals, or their cashback was less than 2 hryvnias.

The Ministry reminds that to receive payments, it is necessary to activate the card in the "Services" section of the "Diya" application in the "National Cashback" item. Money that was not received in this cycle will be paid in the next period. Payments for November are scheduled for the end of December, and for December - for February 2025.
