In the 2024-2025 academic year, Kyiv veterans will have the opportunity to receive targeted financial assistance from the capital's budget for partial payment of tuition at higher education institutions of their choice. The amount of support can be up to 25 thousand hryvnias. This was reported by Maryna Honda, deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration (KMDA) for self-governing powers.

According to Honda, this financial mechanism was introduced to facilitate the process of obtaining education for veterans. They will have the opportunity to receive annual one-time financial assistance for the payment of education in institutions of higher education, regardless of their form of ownership. This means veterans can choose the school that best suits their needs and ambitions.

It is important to note that this aid is only for full-time students and is determined based on tuition-related costs. The maximum amount of assistance is 25,000 hryvnias, which should significantly ease the financial burden for veterans seeking higher education.

"We continue our work on creating an effective system of veterans' integration into civilian life. Our goal is to provide the defenders of Kyiv with proper support in all important areas of their lives," she emphasized.

Such a decision is an important step in supporting veterans, because studying in higher educational institutions opens up new opportunities for personal and professional development. It also contributes to the improvement of the socio-economic situation in the country, because trained specialists are able to make a significant contribution to the development of various industries.

Therefore, supporting veterans in obtaining higher education is an integral part of the state policy aimed at integrating this category of citizens into society and providing them with opportunities to realize their potential.
