The Cabinet of Ministers approved the budget of the Pension Fund of Ukraine for 2024

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the budget of the Pension Fund of Ukraine for 2024, which became an important step in ensuring the stability of the country's pension system. This was reported by the press service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU).

According to the approved budget, the total income of the Pension Fund in 2024 will amount to 863.7 billion hryvnias. This amount consists of several sources of funding, including 563.9 billion hryvnias — the fund's own income. In addition, 247.1 billion hryvnias are provided from the state budget for financing pension programs, as well as 45.9 billion hryvnias, which will be directed to the payment of housing subsidies and benefits.

It is important to note that budget expenditures for 2024 provide for spending on pensions and social benefits in the total amount of 860.9 billion hryvnias. Thus, the budget of the Pension Fund is balanced and deficit-free, which will contribute to the stability of financing pension obligations.

The Pension Fund continues work on improving the payment system and increasing the level of social protection of citizens. In particular, emphasis will be placed on ensuring the timely payment of pensions and social benefits, as well as on the implementation of new programs aimed at supporting socially vulnerable segments of the population.

The approval of the Pension Fund budget is an important signal for society and all participants in economic processes, because a stable pension system is critically important for the social well-being of citizens. The Cabinet of Ministers plans to continue the implementation of the policy aimed at strengthening the financial basis of the pension system of Ukraine.
