The Budget Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decided to allocate 2.2 billion hryvnias for the implementation of an experimental project aimed at restoring a number of settlements that suffered from Russia's armed aggression. This initiative aims to support regions that have suffered significant destruction as a result of hostilities.
According to People's Deputy Denys Herman, the following settlements will be the main objects of restoration: Borodyanka in the Kyiv region, Trostyanets in the Sumy region, Tsirkuny in the Kharkiv region, Posad-Pokrovske in the Kherson region, and Yagidne in the Chernihiv region. The respective funding amounts have already been determined for each of them: 884.6 million hryvnias for Borodyanka, 278.1 million hryvnias for Trostianets, 5.9 million hryvnias for Tsirkuny, 819.3 million hryvnias for Posad-Pokrovsky and 238.1 million hryvnias for Berry
These funds will be directed to the comprehensive reconstruction of communities that suffered during hostilities. The restoration of infrastructure in these regions will not only allow residents to return, but will also create conditions for the development of the local economy. After restoration, the communities will be able to resume their usual way of life and actively participate in the economic life of the country.
The government aims to implement these projects as quickly as possible so that people can return to their homes and resume their daily lives. For this, it is necessary not only to restore buildings, but also to provide appropriate social services, such as education and health care.
The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada emphasizes the importance of supporting the frontline regions, as their recovery is critical for stability and security in Ukraine. The financing of this project is part of a comprehensive program for the restoration of infrastructure, which also includes support for business and local enterprises.
Thus, the allocation of 2.2 billion hryvnias for the reconstruction of front-line settlements will be an important step in the direction of restoring the country and returning to normal life for those who suffered destruction as a result of aggression.
