JSC "Ukrainian Defense Industry" (better known as "Ukroboronprom") concluded important agreements with four Western defense companies. This cooperation will cover key areas such as the production of ammunition, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), electronic warfare (EW) and reconnaissance (ER) systems. The official signing took place during the second International Forum of Defense Industries, which was attended by about 300 companies from more than 30 countries.

In particular, "Ukroboronprom" concluded agreements with enterprises from the USA, France and Poland. Cooperation will cover various areas, from the production of ammunition and special chemistry to the development of the latest unmanned systems and electronic warfare systems. According to company representatives, these partnerships will contribute to the strengthening of Ukrainian defense capabilities at the international level.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi noted during the forum that the development of defense industries will become an important component of global security, and Ukraine has every chance to become a powerful player in the world market of weapons and defense technologies. He also emphasized that those who support Ukraine will achieve joint victory. This position was supported by the Minister of Strategic Industry Herman Smetanin, who assured that the signed agreements will soon bring real results in the form of modern Ukrainian weapons and technologies.

Ukroboronprom also noted the rapid development of the Ukrainian defense industry. In particular, during the first half of 2024, Ukrainian manufacturers significantly increased the production of ammunition - the number of artillery and mortar shells exceeded the indicators of 2022 by 25 times. In addition, domestic companies are already capable of producing up to 4 million units of unmanned aerial vehicles, of which 1.5 million have already been contracted.

In addition to these agreements, during the forum, the company "Ukrainian armored vehicles" signed important documents with the Czech holding Czechoslovak Group (CSG) on the supply of components and licensing of the production of ammunition, in particular artillery shots. This process will begin at the beginning of 2025, and by the end of this year the company expects to receive the corresponding license.

The general director of "Ukrainian Armored Vehicles" Vladyslav Belbas noted that next year it is planned to produce about 100,000 ammunition, and in 2026 this indicator should exceed 300,000 units. Production capacities will be distributed between Ukraine and the Czech Republic, which will contribute to reducing the cost of ammunition and increasing their quantity.

In addition, the Czechoslovak Group plans to expand the production of defense products in Ukraine, in particular spare parts for armored vehicles and armored steel products. This opens up new opportunities for the development of the country's defense industry and its integration into international production chains.
