The government of the Netherlands announced a new package of financial assistance to Ukraine, amounting to 209.5 million euros. These funds will be directed to the restoration of the country's critical infrastructure, as well as humanitarian aid. This information was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Caspar Veldkamp.

In particular, part of the funding in the amount of 45 million euros will be transferred to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine, which emphasizes the importance of ensuring the country's energy needs in wartime conditions. In addition, these funds will also be used to purchase the necessary equipment that will help in the recovery process.

Kaspar Veldkamp emphasized that Ukrainians are preparing for one of the most difficult winters. In this regard, the country vitally needs energy to ensure normal functioning. "At today's meeting with the ministers of foreign affairs of the G7 countries and other partners, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiga, I emphasized that we must join our efforts to ensure energy stability," the minister said.

This aid package is part of the wider support of Ukraine from the international community. The Netherlands, as a member state of the EU, continues to actively participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine after the destruction caused by the war.
